Update 2 Week Vacation

Variations of Love is done. It's been done. I just need to do the interior for the paperback/hardcover. The Forest is done. It's been done but I got the cover which I love. The L word is done. That will be looked over several times before releases which won't happen until next year.

I will be delisting 5 books: As Real As It Gets, The Harder It Gets, Fragments, The L Word, and Work of Art. This will happen on October 28-29. Will they be delisted on said date? That depends on the company. These are the poetry books I grabbed my poems and put in Variations of Love and The L Word. I want to shorten my catalog and set a standard for how I will publish my poetry books. 100 poems and less if it follows a narrative like The Forest.

I had to do a lot of sorting with my poems because I have a lot of poems and I think I am at the right number of what I have now, which is 698. That will decrease when adding the rest to Fragments and The Things We Don't Talk About. This comes to how I will go about my poetry books from here on out. I believe because I keep switching my mind on certain things. When going over all the poems I've done some sound repetitive with the themes and whatnot. Fragments will be how I will structure my poetry books, which are a mixture of love poems and general poems. If I don't change my mind, again.

I finally fixed my store and I got ideas for merch. I was going through some of the work but I got stuck on my poetry books and how long it took. It will be a mixture of things that don't entirely focus on my books and I think that will be fun and add another branch to what I hope will expand my brand. I'm going to focus on it when I have a bunch of ideas put together which I have a lot.

Next year is nearly complete. Other than saving up for a cover design for The L Word. Everything is done. My approach for Fragments and The Things We Don't Talk About and Fragments is to finish The Things We Don't Talk About first to make sure whatever needs to be moved Fragments will still have free space that I could put in. That could be done before the end of the year. Which Fragments could be as early as next year. Which only leaves Catalyst to be done. This could be done quickly but I want to improve what I have written years ago. But time will only tell.

Short stories I said I needed to complete could have been done within the two weeks but excuses some valid like I was working on merch ideas which surprisingly took hours. And I don't mean like 1 or 2 but like 5 to 9. It's crazy how much time that takes. I'm aware of it because I did video edits of my stuff but it was a reminder this isn't a quick job to do. The other perfectly good excuse is making sure I'm not using the same poem in the same book or different which I had with Therapy and For What It's Worth. So I really had to focus on sorting them out which seemed easy but that became frustrating since I had to discern if these were the same, an iteration, or completely different pome but with the same subject and ideas. The worst excuse was games. Some were positive since I came up with new ideas from those games but I had an objective and I took my eyes off it. To justify this I wrote reviews. I like it but maybe it's to help me mentally. To declutter my mind with these thoughts. I could have done better but I'm not to mad about the progress I've made.

Next month is Variations of Love ebook day and I can't be any more happier. I think the path is close to an end and will start the next journey for me which is years of work that will be set and stone years ahead. With a catalog that is thought out instead of tossed to the wind. But words are nice to say actions are what give words their validation. So lets go.
